Cheerleading

It takes alot to be a cheerleader, flexiblity, strength, school spirit no matter what, tight motions and out of the world jumps and so much more. Cheerleading goes way back to the 1870's at Princeton University with men. Women started joining cheerleading in the 1920's. The pom pom was created in 1930's by using paper. Now cheerleading is performed with basketball, football, and competition. Also it is performed international in Japan,Europe,Australia,Canada, and Mexico.
Cheerleading also involves dancing, but not any old dancing preppy strong tight dancing including everything from toe touchs, stunts, and cheerleading motions. Cheerleading isnt about just looking cute in a uniform but its about being dedicated to a team and never doubting your teams abilities. Cheerleading to me is the sport that involves the most team work. You have to look good as a team so that means practing with your team and alone.

Well if you live in Fayetteville, NC, you have probably have heard of the Cape Fear Regional Theatre, or also known as CFRT. CFRT was created in 1962 by small actors under the leadership of Bo Thorp. CFRT has many plays and things for children to get involved in like the Best Christmas Pagent Ever(BCPE). BCPE is for kids and adults and had been around for up to 18 years.
